I signed up to bring a "snack"

for a coworker's retirement party tomorrow. It's being held at the bar a different coworker's husband owns. Other options on the sign up sheet were "chips/dip" or "hors d'oeuvre".

What the heck should I bring? Bonus: it's painfully hot where I live and I don't have A/C. Avoiding having to use the oven would be great.

Caprese skewers or deviled eggs (DCUM will scoff at the deviled eggs - ignore them - they always disappear whenever I take them to parties even if the "fancy" people only eat them when they think nobody's looking).

Guacamole (premade) and chips.

I won't scoff at deviled eggs. I love them and every time I make them for a gathering they go faster than anything else.

Bring something sweet since chips/dips and apps are covered. Cookies, bars, brownies, bite sized tarts, etc

This definitely qualifies as "snack." I like it for understanding the (somewhat strange) assignment.

You don't have A/C? Oh no!

I would bring some easy-to-eat fruit chunks if your area is in a heat wave.

I know this wasn’t the question but if it’s at a bar why is everyone bringing food?

The bar doesn't serve food! Only drinks
