| We are moving into the Prince George's county area and are looking for a good middle school for our 6th grader for next year. I feel behind since it is almost summer, but any recommendations and why you liked that school would be helpful. |

We know a couple families that commute from PG into VA to attend Browne Academy or Burgundy Farm. Both are k-8 and might have limited spaces in middle school grades. Edmund Burke is another idea, they are a 6th-12th school with a morning bus routes that include stops in Suitland and Greenbelt.
Depending on where you are in PG, there may be options in Anne Arundel. |
| St. Anselm's, if you can get in. |
| Where in PG? |
And if they have a son. OP, can you give a little more details about your child and what you’re looking for in a school? |
| try SSFS |

St Louis School in Maple Lawn/Clarksville area

| In all honesty, I would not send my kids to any school in PG. I would live instead in any of the surrounding MD counties, or Fairfax or Arlington Counties in VA, and suffer a longer commute for my kids sake. |
| Holy Trinity in Glenn Dale/Bowie is K-8 Private and in the past two classes, kids have been accepted into NCS, Sidwell, Bullis, SJC, GC, Gonzaga, McNamara, Seton, Annapolis Area Christian School, Episcopal, etc |
|
Definitely consider some of the Anne arundel schools - Key, Severn and Indian Creek are the big non-denominational k-12s
St Andrew’s (edgewater) and St annes (Annapolis) are two great k-8s who may have room in middle school. I also have a friends whose son had a great experience at Holy Trinity in Bowie, but he’s in grad school now, so it’s been a while |

Depending on where exactly in PG, you may could check out Glenelg.
|
This is Sandy Spring Friends School, and a good option |
| Friends Community School in College Park. |
Do you have any direct experience? Such a bold statement. |
| Definitely check St. Anne's School of Annapolis. |
