What’s after CM 5/6 these days?

My current fifth grader was placed in Accelerated Math 7 Plus for next year after complete two years of compacted math at ES.

Is that the usual track? I thought something called AIM came next but that was from talking to friends with older kids, so I have no idea if my kid is staying on level or being slowed down or sped up or what. Thanks!

Middle Schools are utilizing AMP 7+ (newer curriculum) or AIM (older curriculum) in 6th grade to transition those doing well enough from Math 5/6 in 5th to Algebra in 7th.

Jeff -- please lock before we go down the rabbit hole yet again.
