| WDYT? I think the argument can go both ways because the coach is putting in a significant amount of personal time so they obviously want to see their own child’s growth. I’m talking about the youth elementary school level with parent coaches when the coach’s son is trained to be the pitcher or quarterback and typically starts a game or finishes a game. |

| Of course not. It’s completely unsporting and a mark of poor character on the coach’s part. In rec sports, the kids should all get equal or nearly equal playing time, and should rotate through positions. The coach can see their child’s growth by doing this and enjoy seeing the growth of all the other players too. |
