AYPO school music requirement and Arlington Tech

Does anyone know how AYPO orchestra handles the school music requirement if you are at Arlington Tech?

The requirement likely ensures that AYPO does not prompt a student to opt-out of their school orchestra. But if there is no school orchestra, there is no risk of opt-out.

That sounds reasonable. Also, don’t some Arlington Tech / full time Career Center students take the occasional class, elective, or non sports extra curricular at their home high schools?

I think Arlington Tech students can participate in music at their home school but it seems like a pain and my kid does not want to do that, so hoping he won't have to. It looks like he will have to apply for a waiver from AYPO - I was just curious if anyone had been through that process already.

This is something your private teacher might handle. Our DC's private teacher has handled this for another student in her studio.
