Please recommend a SAT prep class

Anonymous
DS is an average student without good self-discipline, but he wants to prepare for the SAT over the summer. The online tests and self study is not the best way for him to improve his grade. Could someone please recommend a good in-person class or tutoring program? Thank you.

I taught SAT for Kaplan.

Just pick one that is convenient. They all teach the same thing.

Thank you for your advice. I think it more depends on the teachers. Has anyone ever used C2 education’s SAT prep? There is one near my house so it’ll be convenient for us.

If he really wants it, Khan Academy is excellent prep, according to my son. Paper 1360, then worked on Khan Academy, also took practice digital tests available from College Board. March digital 1440. Studied with Khan Academy more and May digital 1480 (super score between those is a 1510).

we loved prep one on one. The flexibility and personal tutoring was key for my son.

Sort by price, the more expensive ones are the best. Or do Khan for free.

Both my kids used Edge. Picked up 150 and 100 points respectively.

I sent two of my children to this SAT/ACT prep. They both improved 300+. And we are happy.

It's called Thrive & Lead in Chicago. https://thrivenlead.com.

Hope this information will help you!

I'm also looking for a tutor or in person class that starts in January to prep for March SAT. Thanks for the suggestions!

DS took only the verbal portion of capital educators and went up 130 points! Woohoo!

Our independent counselor recommended Kathy Wasik and we're thoroughly impressed with her results. Our daughter took her SAT score from 1330 to 1510 in less than 6 months.

It should not be expensive and even free in some cases.

Use Uworld, Khan Academy. No need to pay for a private tutor. It is all about exposure, absorption, repetition and execution. Cheap sites like UWorld and free site like Khan give you that.
