And this is why I have always said we will never slow climate change and shouldn't focus efforts on futility. Instead, we should be preparing and developing strategies to survive in 10-20 years when we'll be baking and in deep S- globally due to climate change!

The article references French oorganizers putting in options to beat the heat in lieu of Ac for athletes in dorms.

However, of course all developed countries who are able to will in fact ship in portable AC units distrusting anything less than tried and true methods of keeping cool. Gotta win medals and all lol

As a species don't tell me that there is any possibility that will allow for our conveniences to be shelved, AC or otherwise!

I'm French and I need A/C during summer heat waves in France. Also, I'm not crazy enough to travel to a summer Olympic event in my hometown of Paris.

And anyone who gets into the Seine for the swimming events has my utmost sympathy and regrets. I do apologize very sincerely.
