| Saw on Twitter Stanford requiring Test scores? |
|
Yes, for those applying for class of 2030 (so not yet required this fall):
https://news.stanford.edu/stories/2024/06/stanford-to-resume-standardized-test-requirement?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR0Z8fGQcYQSE6zJMcSkPfAiYrQUsBGdj6tWiw_RdsD5pDuYym8i8C5OhAA_aem_AS35W9szsNTLfJJaXD_ciL370KCOXBXKBNBnxTYBSxa7wsD6lDS5YX8pupukEho4hLIxqVF5VGDj9skV_vsrcE6b |
| Another one bites the dust. |
| Required for riding juniors |
| Good. |
| This is surprising since it’s in CA where virtually all colleges, public and private do not consider testing. |
CalTech flipped from permanently test blind to test required earlier this spring. |
Really? Stanford, CalTech, USC these are the three schools that matter on the Westcoast. |
| Ever hear of UC Berkeley or UCLA???? |
| Harvey Mudd, Pomona, CalPoly as well |
Funny thing is, there are idiots on other threads that continue to argue for the virtues of Test Optional
|
|
Overdue. The “testing is dead!” people deserve all the mockery headed their way.
Dartmouth, the University of Texas, Stanford, and others are finally starting to accept reality. Georgetown and - good lord - Florida schools had it right all along. We now need the UCs to join the party. |
Georgia public schools also require tests. |
That’s right - forgot that. UF and UGA have rightfully soared in the rankings. |
I feel like the University of California schools will never return to test required (or even test optional). |
