Does it matter if you skip MCAP?

| My DC in 8th grade was sick for a few weeks and missed both MCAP math and english. Now we're approaching the end of the year and I'm wondering if they still need to take it at this point. |

| No it does not matter. It is a bogus test. But confirm with your school or wait until school year is over to ask school. |

| It only matters in high school when the test counts for 20% of the biology and government semester B grade. In 8th grade, I wouldn't even bother asking. |
