Switching from estradiol patch/oral Prometrium to Combipatch

My doctor recommended switching to the Combipatch because even after a few month that oral Prometrium makes me groggy and out of it. I’m a little concerned
because I had trouble with synthetic progesterone when I was on the Pill and the Combipatch reviews on here are not great (I’m thinking of the rage and rapid weight gain poster). Anyone made this change with success? |

| I have not made that switch, but you can try a Mirena IUD. The Mirena IUD also usually eliminates any breakthrough bleeding, which the Combipatch is notorious for causing. The IUD releases far less systemic progestin than the Combipatch. |
