AAP middle school

If English and Science are the only AAP classes in MS, is it worth going for 2 classes a year if zoned for different HS than where majority of kids at AAP MS will go? Is there that much difference between AAP classes and honors classes to make it worth being new kid in HS?

Englis, History, Science are all AAP. Math is determined by the IAAT and SOL scores.

Question should be if AAP enough different from honors for 3 classes to make it worth going to AAP MS that feeds to different HS than DC will be zoned? (because is usually English, Science and History that are AAP classes)

I know at our local schools that have a split feeder there's a large enough AAP cohort that goes to the non-center school that's it's not a big deal and many (maybe most?) families switch then.
