Say you were going to OBX this summer so you buy a souvenir shop sweatshirt online from the online store that reads OBX and wear it while you are there.
DH thinks it’s strange to buy it beforehand and would only buy gear from a store physically while at the destination. |
| We go to the same beach every year. My kids prefer branded clothing online to what is sold at the beach itself. I don't mind because it's half the price |
| Only for Disney where the prices are better if you buy before you go. |
|
| Incredibly strange. |
| Team DH. Both wierd to buy in advance and to wear while you are there. The point is to get a souvenir while you are vacation to remember your visit. |
| I don’t get why you would do this? |
| I would never buy such clothing and find it utterly cringy that anyone would wear it there. |
| Cringe. Op I gather you wear the bands t-shirt when you go to their show? Now, if you’re always a dork let that flag fly and own it, DH be damned. |
+1. I thought people just owned that OBX sweatshirt because it was chillier than expected while they were there. |
| This is cringe x1000. I love a tacky gift shop hoodie, but the fun is buying it there. |
|
I think it’s weird to do that.
It’s like wearing your race swag tshirt while running the race. |
| common for Disney, otherwise I don't think I would bother doing this |

Every single item in the location’s gift store is made in China. Why not buy it online cheaper before you go? You could even find a local business on Etsy.
That said, I do highly encourage supporting locally made products and food. But those megastores where OBX sweatshirts are sold are not making their sweatshirts locally. |
| No. Maybe after? I would never wear an OBX shirt in OBX, though. Tacky AF. |
