Brand name estrogen only patches?

Does Vivelle Dot still exist? Do people have as good results with generic patches? How is the Sandoz? I am having no luck getting any estrogen-only patch at the pharmacies. Do some brands cause worse irritation from the adhesive?
What about daily topical gel? How does it compare on treating hot flashes and sleep vs patches? How do you keep it from transferring to other members of the household?

No idea about the Vivelle dot, but I use Sandoz and have had good results. Alvogen is also good. Avoid Mylan. Their patches are way too thick and don't adhere well. Mine would frequently pop off.

Can your pharmacy put in an order?

It keeps getting delayed and delayed. No end in sight.

Ugh. I just got a script for a patch and was told it was on order. How long have you been waiting OP?

I use Sandoz Estradiol. No issues with the patches at all, except one time it rolled off. That's it -- otherwise not problems, it sticks fine, no irritation, nothing. It has cured my hot flashes and fixed my sleep prolems.

I was given sandoz as the generic for vivelle dot. Worked well.

The gel, if yo hate in the US, is likely to be a divigel generic. It comes in a sachet. Use one a day. You put it on your thigh.

It works well.

As far as transfer, it takes about a half hour to fully dry. Then you put on your clothes and transfer isn’t really an issue. If you plan o being intimate with someone, you could wash it off after several hours, or tell the person to not lick your thigh.

This is a great tip! Never even thought about using Amazon. That said, looks like they only have the Mylan brand in my dosage, which sucks.

Yes, I’m the PP and I just received Mylan brand 0.05 so I will have to see if it works. Previously I used a different dose which was from Grove Pharmaceuticals.

In my experience Mylan works OK if you can get it to stay on. After a day or so, mine kept coming loose when I would bend at the waist—especially on hot days if I got sweaty. But better than nothing if the other brands are all out of stock.
