Question about magnet program acceptance

My kid got into the Parkland lottery and we accepted. We now got the MLK lottery. If we accept MLK, would Parkland slot automatically be voided? Kid is still waitlisted at Clemente and that is what DC really wants. If DC doesn't get Clemente, then we would go with one of these. We have just a week to decide and I guess I am asking if we can accept from both the schools and then decide later.

You can only be registered at one school, so you can’t hold two spots at once.

Is acceptance equal to registering? We submitted the form saying we accepted at Parkland.

Yes so if you accept the MLK you will be registered at MLK and will lose the parkland spot

There is a lot of fighting in the school and teacher turnover

The sort of drama that scares you and your kid away so my waitlisted kid gets in.

There is quite a distance between parkland and Mlk. Pick the school closer to home. Dc did a magnet that was not close to home and 8th grade couldn’t come fast enough.
