How many math teachers are leaving TJ at the end of this year?

Anonymous
It seems TJ is hiring quite a few math teachers this year (according to the multiple job postings over the past few months). How many math teachers are leaving? The whole department is only 18 teachers. Is this usual for TJ to have multiple new math teachers each year?

It is usual for every school to have multiple new teachers in each department these days. Teachers are leaving. The profession doesn’t pay enough to justify the work load and disrespect.

Sounds like you should apply. Given the shortages you might have a shot.

Teacher contract is 195 days. Where are you getting 150 days from?

That's why PP isn't going for the math teacher opening.

Ooh. I hope it’s all but 2 of them. Maybe 3. That department needs a refresh. Like physics got this year!

I would imagine that TJ has more teacher turnover than other schools - that is a lot of stress for teachers to deal with. TJ parents are out of control.

Why do you say that?

Are you a teacher at TJ? Or the crazy parent? What exactly do you mean?

… and a tremendous amount of disrespect as well as a terrible work/life balance.

At other schools sure, they'd get quite a bit of disrespect. At TJ, highly doubt it.
