Uber only offers 18 and 25% tips?

What gives? I always tip 20% and will never be tipping 25%. Why isn’t there a 20% option?

There is a custom option, but I guess my point is why isn't there a dedicated 20% option, since that's the amount most people generally tip? Seems weird that they offer less and more than the standard - but not the standard.

OP, ITA and have wondered the same thing. It is so weird.

The seem to have changed it recently - I used to get 15/20/25% options, recently I had one that started at 25%. It's annoying to have to calculate the custom tip but maybe that's what they are counting on - people will just click on one of the higher options.

You can choose your own tip value or not tip at all. It makes zero difference.

Uber - what a fraud. First, no tips. Now they raise prices and pass on nothing to the driver. Just please end.

I tip cash. Carrying cash is good for tipping and buying gum.

Ten percent was always standard tip for taxis. I still pay that.
