I know that you remove those, but do you find them particularly offensive such that a person is automatically blocked from site access for some time as well?

The people who make those posts are not idiots. They know that they will get blocked so they take measures to make that difficult. Of course I would much rather block them once and be done with them. But it's not that easy. Instead it is a constant battle.
