| I have a bunch of old pictures of my parents/grandparents that I would love to make high-quality photocopies of. Is it possible to do this without having a digital copy of the image? |
|
Of course. Do you have a scanner?
And if not, you can use your phone to take a photo of the photo and it will be pretty good. You just have to play around with lighting and avoiding glare/reflections. |

My husband had some pictures enlarged at Walgreen's. Shutterfly. He just brought in the small photos he liked.
100% great looking. |
The process would almost certainly involve creating a digital image and printing it. |
| Shutterfly and CVS both mess up of the color on high quality photos, even those taken professionally. |
Agree, I've had surprisingly good experiences with Walgreens photo services. Might vary from location to location though. |
You should really have a professional do this and save a digital copy that you can reprint whenever you would like. Any service that you use should be color calibrated to an international standard and printed on acid free archival paper with archival inks. Anything less is a loss and a disservice to your family. |
