Color Blindness

Does anyone know where I can get my child tested for this? My doctors office says they don't test older teens (weird right?)

An opthalmologist can test for color blindness. There may be informal tests for it online.

We had suspicions of this with our preschooler. The school tested him and said not colorblind but that didn’t seem right. Pediatrician tested vision but said they don’t do color blind testing. They sent us to an ophthalmologist. He tested our son and determined that he is, indeed, very colorblind. You can probably just make an appointment with an ophthalmologist.

there should be a printable chart online of reds / greens that you can test with yourself

I did the test and it showed a very rare form of color blindness almost unheard of in females. That's why I'm not trusting the online test. I will check in with the eye doc. Thanks!

Males have color blindness where you can’t see certain colors. There is a form of color blindness where you can only see black and white. It is very rare and almost exclusively in females.
