Nannies should get health insurance like any other employee

I beleive parents should give their nannies health insurance or at least help them with it, if they get sick what happens? the nanny takes care of your most precious treasure shoulnt she have any rights? think parents to keep her happy pay fair some health insurance

I'm a nanny and I have health insurance. You know why? Because I went out and found a policy and pay for it.

Not all employees everywhere get health insurance as a benefit. The cheaper policies that larger employers have access to are because of group rates given to them by insurers. That discount is not offered to employers with 1-2 employees.

If you want health insurance, go buy it or find an employer that offers it. No need to complain anonymously on a message board.

I think all people should have health insurance. Unfortunately, many employers in the world don't supply it. That includes small business owners as well as nanny employers.

If you want health insurance as a benefit, negotiate it with your employer before taking the job. Otherwise, don't take the job.

The whole employer-based health insurance is a bizarre construct anyway. Why should your employer pay for health insurance? We don't expect our employers to pay for our life, house, or car insurance.
