Please help with time difference!! GMT to EST

| I am so confused - I have a Zoom meeting at 7pm GMT. Google has told me two different things. Is London 4 or 5 hours ahead of us right now? Thanks for your help!! |

London is almost always 5 hours ahead of the US Eastern Time Zone. If the meeting is scheduled for today at 7 PM London time, that's 2 PM in DC. There are a few weeks in March and October when it's only a 4 hour time difference, because we have longer Daylight Savings Time, by a few weeks on either end. They are not on GMT in the summer. They are on British Summer Time- BST. Just like we are not on EST right now- we are on EDT. |

My go to in this situation is just to Google "current time London" instead of trying remember it all. |
