What does this mean for you personally? I’ve seen this at a hotel in New England that I stayed at and had to look it up. Then Pottery Barn used it in an ad or Crate & Barrel for a kids teen room wall decoration . This is entirely new to me. I’m not sure why I had never heard of this before. |

It's literally a historic slogan about (military) perseverance.
We have it in our house. But we are far from military. It's just about persistence. |

It’s the Naval Academy’s motto. I’m an Army fan myself, but I think it’s one of the greatest college mottos ever.
