Do HS students at each of the MCP HS take MAP-R and MAP-M each season and each year as they have since 3rd grade?

No. Usually only 9th graders.

Apparently 10th grade students took MAP test this year Spring. School did not send any announcement students other than 9th grade were to take the test.

The MAP testing window is still open.

There is no need to take the MAP after 9th grade, and that too only to get a baseline as students enter high schools. Are schools that incapable of teaching that they feel they need to add yet another test to an already full testing season? 4 days gone to Spring MAP testing in HIGH SCHOOL. Smh.

always going to be a few loud parents who want schools to test their kid, because the were in virtual learning for part of high school and because of this or that. Be louder if you'd rather your kid not test or just excuse them from school.

Ninth grade is the only year for MAP testing in HS.

Contact Donna Blaney with MCPS office of assessments testing unit. She may know why schools are dishing out MAP when not required.

At some HIGH school(s), MAP has been administered to students. Some students have been excused by their parents.

Ask your kid to purposely do bad on the MAP if they are being asked to take it after 9th grade. Let that school lose face.
