Are they out where you are yet? Just got bitten multiple times yesterday in Fairfax. Don't remember it started this early.

Share your location/zipcode and the mosquito situation!

They're in full swing in my backyard. I had my first bite 3-4 weeks go.

Seems worse than last year.

Downtown DC. I’ve been spraying my daughter before school for a month now, otherwise she comes home with bites just from playing on the playground. I hate mosquito season.

I'm in MoCo. Mosquitoes are definitely out and biting. I just started with a company called Bee Safe Mosquito Control (basically upgraded Buckets of Doom that kill adults as well as larvae, no spraying). I'm hoping some of my neighbors will join as well.

It's been awful where I am in Chevy Chase MD, 20815. Compared to last year they emerged later but I feel like quantity and intensity are both worse this year.

With the heat and not much rain, I’m having to make doubly sure all my standing water containers in my yard stay topped-off this week. I can’t have anything going dry and losing thousands of larvae about to fledge.

I hate all my neighbors with a fiery passion, so I leave dozens of empty flower pots and Rubbermaid containers out in my backyard so it’s a mosquito paradise. I provide lots of habit for the larvae to grow in, and then they grow up and fly away and annoy everyone around me.

And no, I’m not kidding.

I was thinking about doing a AMA on this in fact.
