YMCA Bethesda two hours daycare program

I was told that they have a free two hours daycare program on site when you do the workout. Anyone has experience with it and would like to share ? Thanks !

Yes- I joined the Y specifically to use this. Plan was to workout while my child was in care and then be able to take him swimming too. I had a very poor experience but I think it would have been fine if he was a bit older. It gets really busy on the weekends. My son was about 18 mo at the time (this past spring). He goes to daycare and was fine when I left. When I picked him up and asked how he did, one of the teachers said very casually "oh she cried most of the time". Super off putting, they didnt know his name, that he was a boy even... like did they even know I was the parent? There was no ID or security check to make sure I was taking the right kid. No sort of- we did this because he was upset, our policy is if he cries more than X to come get the parents. Overall not worth it to me.

I complained and ended my membership. Besides the lack of any security measures I think it is fine and the kids are being watched and safe. I would go back in a few years when my child can advocate for himself and communicate more. I heard the silver spring one has more secure pick up and drop off procedures.

I’m thinking about joining for this reason. I have a four year old. Any experience w drop off with this age range?
