| Wondering how many kids are typically rostered on top teams at U15? |
| 18-22 |
| I think oneoc girls ECNL team has 30 |
| *One local |
| 22 is too many. 16-20. |
| 16 is probably ideal for coaches trying to get playing time for everyone. I would not want more than 17 but rosters allow more. |
| 20-28 |
Except when you have 3 injured two games into the season (only two subs). |
|
Ideal= 18-20
Typical for this area = 20-29 |
That’s not enough. You should assume at least two to four injuries. |
Teams can always add in players during the season if this happens. Teams don't add simply because there aren't enough players. Even when some players can't dress, teams add during the middle of the season. It's not the best for team dynamics. |
| About 16 -20 is the norm. MLS next can add future and ENCL discovery players. |
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

| I think 18-20 is typical. Too many and some kids don’t get to play much and too few and you are up a creek if there are injuries. Teen boys get injured a lot. DS’s team was plagued by them this season which hurt their ability to be competitive at times. The coach said he’s considering going to 22. The risk is that if it’s a healthy year, they won’t be able to have everyone dress for every game. We avoided ECNL for that very reason. |
no club that rosters 30 cares about every kid even dressing let alone seeing the field. I'd be furious if I had to pay the same fees and my kid never dressed, but it happens |
