When do SOL results release ?

Hi! My child is in 6th and they just did Math SOLs today. Reading was 2 weeks ago. When do they usually come out?

The last day of school, usually. I've heard it might be a bit earlier this year.

It says last day of school in the email yesterday. Very poor. Families lose 4 weeks of potential remediation.

Are the results sent home? Or just posted to SIS?

Ours will post first week of June in SIS but my 6th grader took it 2 weeks ago. Probably depends on the school how and when you receive the score.

If they get 375 - 400, you'll find out the next day. Otherwise, you'll find out after school lets out in June.

If your child fails, parents will be notified within a day or so. This is to prompt them to re-test to see if they can pass the next time around. I assume they'll get the 3-4 week remediation to help the child pass, instead of a year of remediation they'll have the following year.

Retakes are only for 375 to 399. A high fail.
