We are too late for this summer but would like to look at summer programs for next year for our DC (junior). Ideally would have a focus on business, econ, finance or Chinese. Anyone's kid attend one they loved? Looking at all options-onsite at universities in the US or international travel programs.
We did the 4-week Concordia Language Villages camp at Concordia College for Chinese for HS credit in MN last summer. Kid took the AP Chinese exam a couple weeks ago and thought the test was easy. Her teacher expects a 4 or 5 from her. Camp wasn't cheap, $5K+, but we hope the Chinese will pay off in college admissions in the fall.
The great thing about Concordia is that it's not tourism. Devices are taken away when the kids arrive and they can't speak English the whole time without penalty. They really jam on Chinese for the whole month, a serious thing. Not the most fun, but worth it.
