Great info, thanks for sharing! Sometimes these newer smaller clubs really help out some players. I wish them well!

OMG. You must be joking.

In the Fall when I attended a Wheaton HS vs RMHS girls varsity game, I heard many negative reviews about him from parents at RMHS where he coaches the girls varsity team. Favoritisms, lack of tactics, lack of experience, etc. He is a very young coach, so maybe why he lacks experience.

He might be better coach for the very u-little ages.

You obviously don't know who this post is about. Your description of the coach and the school is totally wrong

Edvin Hernandez is the Richard Montgomery HS Girls Varsity Head Coach. Unless there’s another coach with the exact first and last name and coaches in MCPS. LOL.

It’s usually the small club owners or their coaches that advertises on here pretending to be a friend or soccer parent. LOL.

Yup. Free advertising doesn’t always work out. And sometimes it blows up in their face.

I suspect this thread will be shut down shortly by the OP.

Can't yall give the small clubs a break. My kid plays in one. We could use one or two more 2011s too!

I don’t think anyone is criticizing small clubs. Some are great and have very good coaches.

It’s when a club, large or small, that falsely advertise how great a certain coach is when the coach is horrible. Remember that DCUM is fanatical about calling out bad coaches.

My DD is graduating and will not play for RM varsity soccer next year. We’ve been pretty quiet but now that she won’t be playing next year, I can freely say this.

If you want Edvin to give your DD playing time on the RM team, you better volunteer a lot time for the RM soccer booster club, organize activities, etc. Unfortunately, my DH and I have demanding jobs that we weren’t able to spend anytime volunteering.

So Edvin was fired from RM and will not return to coach RM varsity girls soccer next year. Good riddance. As a graduating senior, this doesn’t impact me but will be great for all returning and incoming players.
