Recommend best restaurants for client dinners during the summer in DC

Anonymous
I have clients in town this week and will have several more in town over the next few months. They love places with a cool, fun, edgy vibe for dinner. Recommendations with views earn bonus points, even if just for drinks.

Some of my favorites are Top of the Gate at The Watergate, El Presidente, Grazzie Nonna, The Lyle, St. Anselm, Le Dip, and RPM Italian. I recently took some clients to Tail Up Goat. They loved it, but I'd like to find some places that have more a fun, upscale summer energy, if that makes sense.

There are several by the Wharf that fit the bill - Ilili, Del Mar, etc

My immediate thought was also Causa. Great food in a truly nice outdoor space.

I love Oyster Oyster— not a great outdoor area from the looks of it but the inside is airy—not stuffy. Great food, of course.

They’ve gone precipitously downhill.

Iron gate isn't edgy, but it's a nice outdoor space and good food. Maydan might also work. For drinks, Whiskey Charlie at the wharf.
