My DS was waitlisted #6 for APS Alice Fleet’s Montessori program. Does anyone know if the waitlist moves at all? TIA |
No clue but wondering same about ATS. She’s down to #15. Want to know if she could get in by summer (or by end of school yr if they let kids transfer in) |
#15 is more than half a class who would have to decline. That seems unlikely to happen before the start of school, but possible if a spot opens during the year and parents ahead of you on the list don't want to move their kid during the school year. A long shot at best. |
^^ agree. |
How many K classes does ATS havr |
Typically, four. Every few years, ATS has five K classes. |
Will they have 5 next year? |
A couple years ago , for W-L my child was waitlisted with a number in the 100s. Then after the first week of school, they were offered a slot.
I realize this is high school and not elementary but wanted to offer that waitlist offers can come in after the start of the school hear. |
When is the demographic cliff going to impact Arlington enrollment?! Is it ever going to happen?? |
Can you explain this a bit more? |
The new family slots for k at ATS THIS YRAR WAS 14, I think so all of them would have to decline. Sorry poster. |
Doubtful. |
At Fleet you have a good shot |
I don't think so because they keep building high density housing (including family sized affordable housing). Numbers may decline as the birth rates decline, but I don't think enrollment will go off a cliff. I would love to hear from someone who is more knowledgeable about these things though. My opinion may be overly simplistic. |
+1 If anything, the density they’re adding produces more kids with high needs of services. Demographics are changing, but there will be no sharp decline in enrollment. Everyone will just be located in SA and need to be bussed to empty schools in NA. |
