Help me plan my kid's graduation party!

I would love the DCUM hive mind tips on a great place we can get dinner from -- where they will bring food and set it up. A bartender who will bring glasses and equipment - we will provide wine etc for the parents. And a service that will bring in tables that guests can stand around at. If you have ideas on any of this, please help! We live in North West DC.

You’re going to serve alcohol at your child’s party?

Tacky.

It might be a college graduation party.

Call Ridgewell’s, they should be able to handle all of what you need.

You are actually ridiculous. Why wouldn't they serve wine to their parent friends?!

I think you need 2 vendors. Use Brooks Rental or DC Rental for the glasses, hi-top tables and tablecloths. You need a caterer for the food, drinks, bartender and 1 staff (to set up food, refresh food, clean up napkins, etc). Wine would probably have a giant upcharge and I'd personally go to a wine shop and buy it separately, but that's 3 things any maybe more than you need. BTW- the bartender will prep lemons/limes but you usually provide them.
