Long Windows

We live in Northern VA and need our windows replaced. has anyone used Long Windows? I'm scarred to get an estimate and then have a salesperson call me constantly. A couple of the reviews I ready complained about that. they seemed more reasonably priced than some of the other companies.

In the spirit of full disclosure, I am the Social Media Manager at Long Windows. I've probably read those reviews you referred to, but most of those were submitted over 2 years ago. We respect our clients and have a very dedicated client services department. If you decide you would like to work with another remodeling company after hearing from us, just ask that we put you on our "no call" list.

If you would like to learn more about our products before contacting us please visit blog.longfenceandhome.com or view our YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/LFHSocial#p/a

Good luck on your search for new windows!

A former sales rep here

All the places that sell windows, siding, sunrooms etc all use the same sales model:

Both husband and wife present
Give them the complete demo; make sure to do the lighter trick near the windows and doors
Flip through the book showing what others do vs what we do
Accept the drink of water or request one
Get buy-ins along the way
Show them how much of a discount you can give them

In reference to the no call list, it is BS, when leads are slow they all go back to the people on the list and the “no call list”

Most of them get the windows from the same place as well; good windows just beat the sales rep up until you get to the price you want.

Long Windows = NEVER

Try American Home Center in Beltsville, MD. Serve the entire metro area. We had our windows replaced with them. Straight up, didn't try to selll us "too much" window. Their installers worked around the rooms with our cats so they wouldn't get out. Reasonable price. They have been top rated in DC Consumers Checkbook. I received a reference from several peoplewho used them and they delivered.

I wouldn't be afraid of calling, having someone over, etc. You just need to say that you have other companies you're looking at too. If they say they have a deal that is about to expire, tell them to take a hike. You need to be an educated consumer to get a good price.
