Veronica Beard Dickey Jacket

I’m in love with this style. I really want one. But I’m also in menopause. I’m hot. I’m cold. Before I head into to Bethesda, is this style even workable for me at this point in my life?

The jacket just looks like a nice classic jacket. What makes it a Dickey jacket particularly? I hate dickeys but this jacket seems fine to wear over a tee or tank or simple shell.

The VB Dickey jacket allows you to attach a dickey to the jacket giving you the look of a jacket over a top but without the bulk of layering.

I just don't know why this is a benefit. I've been wearing jackets over shirts for decades, and never once have I thought -- oh this is too bulky. Silk tops, shells, sleeveless shirts, tee shirts. The dickey sems to me so silly -- if you get hot, you are stuck wearing the jacket regardless. If you are cold, the dickey doesn't help with that. It just seems so wildly impractical. But OP, if you like the jacket, just get it and wear it over a tee.

I have two, one scuba material and one linen. Love them both and have two dickeys to switch it up. But usually I wear without the dickey

I don’t get it. Why do you want to look like you’re wearing a jean jacket or a hoodie under a blazer? This makes no sense.

Hoodie under a blazer is one of the DC area’s only fashion things! The NBA players from DeMatha made it a thing.

Quince sells the jacket for $89. Dickey is $30.
