I need to bring a cheesecake to a party next weekend. I can pick it up anywhere from Arlington to Tysons. Any ideas on who’s got a good one?
Thanks! |

FWIW Cheesecake Factory came in 2nd. |
| Preppy Kitchen has an excellent decadent chocolate cheesecake recipe if you change your mind and want to bake. It's not hard. You'll need a springform cake pan. I bought a preformed graham cracker shell and dumped it into the cake pan, baked it for a couple of minutes, and it came out just right, if a bit thin. Might be better to get couple of the shells for a thicker crust. He adds a chocolate ganache on top. That's over the top, but it did taste really good. |
The Cheesetique in Shirlington closed! Is there another location? I’ll google… |
That does sound delicious! I’m not sure I’ll have time, which is why I’d like to buy a yummy one. |
| Wegmans chocolate cheesecake is delicious. |

| The Costco cheesecake is actually really good. It’s probably the best thing in their bakery. Cover it with fresh berries and it’s really the best. It’s creamier, not as heavy as some cheesecakes. |

Can you find a recipe and do it yourself? Yes, you can, and it will taste much better than the ones at the bakeries. Try it!

It’s true, Cheesecake Factory simply has fantastic plain cheesecake! Don’t sleep on it. |
| I’ve had better luck with cheesecake quality at restaurants than bakeries (in the DMV) |
