SneakPeek

Has anyone else tried the SneakPeek early gender test? Did it give you accurate results? I took the Snap Clinical version at an ultrasound boutique when I was 6 weeks and 4 days pregnant, and it said I'm having a boy. I mostly did it for fun (all that matters to me is a healthy baby), but now I'm just curious if I can trust the results. I would love to hear your experiences.

They have a 50% accuracy claim, you’re an idiot

I thought gender was just a social construct?

That’s not correct. It’s a blood test that has a good accuracy rate. It worked for me

The test was accurate for me when I was pregnant with my daughter. It was also accurate for many of my family and friends.

After doing some research and learning about the science behind the test, I'm pretty confident in its accuracy. From what I've gathered, the only way you might end up with an inaccurate result is if the sample somehow got contaminated with male DNA (since the test looks for the Y chromosome). Even the NIPT isn't 100% accurate, but I'd still put my trust in it. Personally, I'd recommend waiting for the NIPT or anatomy scan to confirm before going all out with buying stuff or making any big announcements. Either way, Congratulations!

I did sneak peek for my last pregnancy and it was wrong. I did the snap version at home when I was 8 weeks exactly and it came back girl. 4 weeks later, my NIPT came back boy. Did an ultrasound to confirm and definitely a boy.
