What schools feed into the top law schools. |

The ones with kids who crush the LSAT. |
Grades and LSAT matter most. I went to community college and a very mediocre state university and had no trouble getting into top law schools. In my opinion the undergraduate college matters much more to the parent than the admissions dean at a given law school. |
Not hard to crack if you are a decent student, don't have to be a a high achiever or genius. Any mediocre school where it is easy to get high GPA and rank, instead of struggling at top competitive schools. Be active at college's student organizations. Go to a mediocre country for semester abroad and write thesis on flaws in their legal system. Take a gap year to take LSAT prep courses and paralegal work. |
22:27 Gives a good formula for acceptance at an elite law school. The mediocre university might be tough on the ego for four years and will make bragging tough for parents but will get your student into any law school as long as the student can perform acedemically and on the LSAT. |
Most I know who end up in Big Law went to undergrad at top universities and a few top SLACs. You often see Harvard/Yale, Cornell/Princeton, etc. The biggest non Ivy schools that feed into top law schools are Stanford and Georgetown. |
Yep, go look at the bio's at a top firm and you'll see this. |
It’s mostly GPA, LSAT, and being older (can’t emphasize this enough) Also bringing some kind of diversity, even that just means you’re applying from rural Mississippi. There’s still a holistic view of the applicant even though they want the high stats. High stats just aren’t enough - just like top undergrad schools. |

This has been asked so many times. They are looking to build interesting classes. Not just the same kids who went to the same undergrads with prelaw/polysci focus. Have a fascinating background— any background—with top LSAT scores and GPA.
And to the pp who mentioned “mediocre university,” “tough on the ego,” and “bragging tough for parents,” I am truly sad that college choice and self-esteem are so intertwined for you. I highly recommend Where You Go is Not Who You’ll Be. |

I can’t seem to find but there is a site with acceptance rates. In addition to the above, a lot of the top SLACs have excellent admission rates to the top law schools, Amherst, Williams, etc. |
