DoD JTR question

The DoD JTR now allows for Premium Economy for OCONUS work trips if the flight exceeds 8 hours, in at least some cases. Premium Economy is considered differently from Business class or First class.

Does anyone have experience with actually getting this approved ?

Trying to figure out how this approval process works in practice, what to document, etc. Thanks.

You will fly basic economy and like it.

I’m DoD and everybody flys economy, no matter the length of the flight. Our Director even flies economy on trips to Asia. The only way around this is if you have miles for an upgrade, or pay out of pocket for the upgrade.
