How to retrieve item left on school bus

Does anyone know how to retrieve items left on the school bus? I didn’t see anything about a lost and found on the MCPS transportation website.

My kid left a musical instrument on the bus on Friday, and there was a substitute driver, so she is worried she won’t be able to get it back.

Contact bus depot, check school L&F or bus's L&F on bus if there's one. Does instrument have kid's name or contact info? Label items. Was it on ride to school or when returning from school? The same bus is used for HS, MS and ES. If your kid is in the last group in the afternoon, the bus driver could have picked it up during a check-through of the bus (if they do that) to keep until Monday or given to the school they dismissed from. But if in any other group, who knows? Another student riding before or after your kid could have it. Ask school's listserv if one exists.
