Birthday gift for private coach ?

| DD started working with a new private coach about 2 months ago. He made a big difference with her performance in the 2-3 times a week that she sees him. I lately learned that his birthday is coming up next week . Is it customary to get a private coach a birthday gift ? If so, what would a typical gift be? |

No, but it would be a nice gesture. We give our coaches gift cards to Dick's Sporting Goods, Amazon or a local eatery.
At minimum, give him a card with a nice personalized thank you from both of you. |
