Health and Medicine
| Hi, I am interested in finding a skilled acupuncturist for treatment for chronic pain. B/CC area, NW DC or McLean VA all good locations. Please let me know if you saw the person you're recommending and a bit about your experience. debralynn@mindspring.com Thanks! |
| Hi I used Dr. Arthur Fann--he is both a medical doctor and licensed acupuncture doctor (not sure how that is written up)-he is just off gallows road in Vienna and I highly reccommend him. He is also a teacher at U of Maryland med school..thought I should add that. One caution is that he is from China and has a strong accent. This didn't bother me as I felt the accent wasn't so strong that I couldn't understand but you really have to listen. Anyway, he is kind and good at what he does. I think his website is something like chinesemedicinedoctor.com-Good luck! |

Catherine "Taffy" Burgess is in Vienna. She is a nurse practioner who also does acupunture and is amazing.
I went to her for bad morning sickness and it really helped. She is very warm and nuturing. I totally trust her. |

Any of the folks at Crossings in Silver Spring: http://www.crossingshealing.com
Jane Grissmer, one of the directors, is particularly experienced (20 years of practice plus many years on the faculty at the Tai Sophia Institute), but all of the people there are really quite good. |
| Lisa Eaves near Tenleytown Metro. She is a lovely woman. Used her for fertility and then for morning sickness. |
| Alexandra "Alex" Knox, Classical Acupuncture, on Connecticut Avenue across from National Zoo (so you can Metro if you need to). I've seen her sporadically for 9 years or so, mostly for treatment of chronic back pain and some repetitive stress injury problems. She's really nice and effective -- if I don't go for several weeks, I definitely feel the difference. |
