Returning to previous company: negotiation tips?

I am considering a return to my previous company where I had left a couple of years ago.
Can I get "credit" back toward retirement thresholds (ie if you are with the company for 10 years and retire, you get XXX). I had 5 years with them before. Any other tips from those who have successfully negotiated? This is biotech, if that makes a difference. Thanks! |

| My experience with this is limited but when I returned to a previous org I got my “years of service” reinstated after x amount if time (which I can’t remember now). It was a state-level gov job so it was policy and not anything I negotiated. I would say any negotiation would be like that - after x amount of time. |
