| Can someone explain the point of this? Are they raising awareness of some issue? Promoting something? Looking for organizations to align with? I’m so confused. Who paid for it and why did they do it? |
| Isn’t this part of the documentaries he’s filming? |
| She has Nigerian heritage. He was in Britain already for some Invictus stuff. They wanted to get away for a bit, as do many of us. The Nigerians rolled out the red carpet. End of. |

Nigeria is the first African country to compete at the Invictus Games, and the games have helped to heal some of the thousands of soldiers who've been fighting in Nigeria's 14-year-long war against Boko Haram. Also, a DNA test showed that Meghan has 43% Nigerian ancestry so she had personal reasons for going.
Charles is really blowing it by not letting Harry be a part-time royal - he and Meghan are proving themselves up to the task. More about the effect of the Invictus Games in Nigeria https://apnews.com/article/nigeria-invictus-games-military-harry-meghan-8ca490fcd87397ae61e2ff116e1e3545 |
TBH stuff like this is a lot more admirable than doing tell-all books and interviews with Oprah. He needs to just be a "part-time Royal" on his own, without his father's blessing. People appreciate the hard work on the stuff like Invictus. They really shine in these moments and they don't need the permission from the BRF to do it. Just get to work. |
| They were invited by a military org for Invictus. They did some other stuff too because they were there. |

Agreed. There's no point in fighting with Charles or bringing it up all the time now. The Nigeria trip was lovely for them. They will have to hustle more for moeny but can work on these projects how they see fit. |

I don’t think the have to “hustle” for money now. They don’t need Charles anymore. Still don’t understand why they don’t drop the English titles though. |
No matter what, he was born a Prince and for the time he did with the BRF, earned it and has the born rights to it. Also served in the military and while some of the military titles were taken away, he still deserves the right to be recognized as a veteran and allowed to wear the uniform like Andrew did who is much worse than Harry. The other titles were bestowed upon them by QEII. She let them have it after they left so she also must have thought they earned and deserved them. I suspect William will either have Charles revoke them or he will do so when he becomes King. He’s a nasty person. |
Funny because I think Harry is the nasty one as does much of the public if you look at polls. He sold his families personal secrets for money, tell all interviews and reality tv, serious accusations and bizarre stories that were found to be straight up lies. After all they’ve done to bash and destroy the BRF, it is so rich that they cling to the titles and cosplay being Royal in America of all places. They represent no one but themselves on these trips. There is no state or government or BRF behind anything they do no matter how much they pretend. It is dangerous diplomatic territory. Wonder how much they were paid to be there while every day Nigerians are literally starving. Tone deaf. I hope William does what the Queen of Denmark did and revokes all Royal titles for children and grandchildren living overseas. Makes sense and puts an end to all of this. https://www.townandcountrymag.com/society/tradition/a41500747/queen-margrethe-grandchildren-title-removal-controversy/ |

Not a huge H&M fan, but this trip seemed like a positive and successful venture. They were officially invited by the Nigerian government, it supported a cause that had long been close to his heart, and was in a region of the world where they are popular. They conducted themselves with dignity, and didn’t air family dirty laundry or release any dramatic bombshells.
It’s sad reminder of what an asset they could have been to the royal family if only both sides had acted like adults. |
