Personal Recipe Book?

Remember when our moms (or grandmas) had a rolodex of recipe cards? Anyone else make one to pass on to their kids? I just printed out a bunch of recipes to give to them (or my husband in case I die and the kids are craving mom's cinnamon bread).

I made one with Shutterfly a while back. I’m planning to make another one at some point and was thinking of using this site: https://createmycookbook.com/home?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=(C)_Generic-Conversion_13384375812&utm_content=123548204616&utm_term=create%20a%20cookbook&gad_source=1

I purposely hand write on index cards so my kids can have copies of my standard recipes. Stuff I make from memory or on holidays. I have a standard wooden recipe box to store them in. My grandma (still living, but no longer cooking) gave me hers, which had recipes from my great grandma and aunts as well. I treasure it.

I’ve been writing out my favorite recipes on postit notes I put on the fridge. There has to be another way! Is there any digital app or recipe scrapbook? I use recipes from all over (random blogs, bigger apps like NYTimes, cookbooks, pages ripped from magazines ..)

I need to start writing out recipes on post cards. The kids can copy and digitize if they would like.

I gifted my adult son (who likes to cook) a recipe card holder with dividers and included all his favorite recipes. Re-writing the recipes was a task, but I knocked it out while my DH was having a surgical procedure and I was in the waiting room. He has kept up the recipe box and added others to his stash.

Paprika is a great app!

I was given a handwritten recipe book with family recipes at my bridal shower. Best gift ever and still use it today.

I printed out all the recipes we use as a family and put them in a binder in sheet protectors as a present for my wife a while back (something she'd been meaning to do). I don't know if our kids will be interested when the time comes, but it's nice to have.

Having recipes in my mom’s handwriting helps me miss her less.

I do the same.
