Hi! What would be a customary gift amount for HS graduation gift for older brother of my daughter’s bff? We have been close to their family for many years. He also has given her rides home from school occasionally. Thanks!
$20
$10-$50
$18

Are these answers a joke?
At least $100. I would say $200 |
$20-25
Meet in the middle $50-75. $200 is too much for a high school boyfriend.
$100. But how many kids do you know graduating right now?
It really depends on your finances. I would do 50-100.

Agree with $50 posters.
This is a friend-of-a-friend situation. Like someone out of the blue sends you an announcement, it's $50. For the children of dear friends or relatives it's the higher amount. For true strangers, it's "congrats kid" |

This is your daughter's best friend's older brother?
I feel like any gift should come from your daughter, not from you. You have no connection to him. It doesn't sound like you are family friends. She could pick out a little graduation related something for under $25 and give it to him. |
If you are going to give a gift, make it meaningful!
$100
Given your long term relationship with the family, $100.
Treat him like family. I'd say $100.
