HS girls basketball- where to start?

Moving to back to DC after years abroad (military family) and trying to find a good fit basketball team for my daughter who will be in 9th at Duke. Since Duke doesn't have sports she can try out at any DCPS school. Or maybe we just do club/rec? She's a good-ish player but hasn't had the chance to play much since we've been away. She's 5'8 and done growing. So we're not looking for competitive. She likes to play and we want her to have the experience of being on a team, having fun, getting excercise, etc. Nobody's trying to play D1,2, or3.

A few questions (thanks in advance!)- any advice of HS teams or rec teams that might be a good fit (we live near Navy Yard), and given that her school ends at 5pm, would any practices make sense- or are they all mostly right after school?
