| Hey, coming onto this forum to look for affordable alternatives to shelling out $3000 for an ECNL/similar travel team. My family is barely floating financially right now because we're starting a business. Any ideas where to look? So far I've only seen FPYC Travel NCSL for $300. |
| Did you already look into the various financial assistance or scholarship programs run by the clubs? |
I don't qualify for a majority of financial assistance programs, I currently don't have funds because we're starting a business right now. I'll look into it more though. |

NCSL is the cheapest. For the littles, it will be $1154.
https://ncsl.demosphere-secure.com/league-fees Lets say the roster is 12 kids, that's about $100 a kid. Most teams will play a minimum of 4 tournaments (1 at the beginning and end of each season). Fees will be about $1,000 a tournament (https://elitetournaments.com/tournaments/nations-capital-cup-girls-weekend/ https://arlingtonsoccer.demosphere-secure.com/tournaments/arlington-spring-tournament-presented-by-orthovirginia https://alexandria-soccer.org/tournaments/heritagecup/) Now we're up to $433 a kid. We haven't paid a coach yet and we haven't paid for fields and we haven't contributed to club overhead. |

Not sure of where you are in DMV, but for NCSL, Leesburg FC looks to be lower fees, and if you’re willing to drive, Clarke County Soccer in Berryville VA is $300, with uniform!

| Bryc has options. NCSL teams in the $600 range |
| BRYC has teams in NCSL that are around $600 for the year. Historically they were called “bridge” teams but not sure the branding now |

MSI Travel starts at $1450 and goes up slightly by age. https://msisoccer.org/programs/travel/
They also have MSI Classic, and Division 1 of Classic is pretty comparable to many lower level travel teams, and is much, much cheaper (like $150/season or something!). |

How much cheaper? I think the local boys and girls clubs that have teams charge less. I think OBGC is under 2k, for example.
|
| Sterling FC is an affordable option. |

MD fusion! Affordable and good teams.
That said most teams offer financial Assistance!! |
Most clubs have financial assistance. Just apply. |

There is not cheap soccer in DMV. You pay a ton load for crappy coaches and cramped field space. Then you pay for extra on the side training cause you need to be able to compete with all the other kids who are taking private training but isn't tell anyone.
