Hi,
My DD is finishing 9th grade and I'd like her to work on her study skills over the summer. Is this something an academic coach could help with? I'd love to hear peoples experiences. She's relatively well organized and there are no learning disabilities. Her overall grades are fine but tests are often a challenge. She just doesn't seem to know how to study effectively and her procrastination tendencies don't help. TIA! |
| We use an executive function tutor who covers this and helps my kid stay organized. They meet to plan out the week, including reviewing upcoming assessments and coming up with a plan for studying. It has been a lifesaver for my kid, who is really challenged with school planning. |
| I highly recommend doing this during the school year rather than summer as the lessons typically stick better when they can immediately be put to use. |
