Is it ok to wear linen and gauze together?

Anonymous
Is it ok to wear a linen top with gauze pants, or a gauze top with linen pants? Or do the two textures compete with each other and it’s better to wear just one or the other in an outfit? Thanks!

Why would you be wearing gauze as fashion? Wierd. Gauze should be reserved for injures, then it goes with everything.

...unless, of course, you are a mummy....then why are you wearing linen?

Do they look good together? If so, it’s fine. I think it can be interesting to mix textures though I don’t know I’ve ever done those two together. No reason other than I only have linen tops and dresses and gauze blouses. Not pants or skirts in either.

NP, is this supposed to be funny? Or have you truly never seen gauze clothing. Or you just don’t like it and thought you were clever? Go, girl, give us nothing.

Anyway, OP, I think it’s fine in theory but I guess I’m imagining a loose, unstructured linen. Though, I suppose gauze could look fine with structured Irish linen.

You know what looks good, OP, I believe in you

Yes it’s fine

The greatest part about my 40s is head to toe linen and gauzy cotton

I only do if I’m planning or be outside on a hot humid day, otherwise I’m head to toe wrinkles. I have a great pair of linen shorts I pair with a gauze swim cover.

Maybe you should educate yourself on types of fabric.
