Paper towel effect

Does any one have a paper towel effect story they can share i.e. when did it happen for you?
Now that i am at a healthy BMi it is starting to kick in so i am excited to see how the next 5 pounds loss will look.
Its helpful to think of it for those days when you feel impatient - wondering when you are going to look slim!

If you havent heard of it;
weight loss is just like tearing sheets off paper towel - you can keep removing sheets (each representing 1 pound) but see no progress in the mirror. The paper towel roll is still fat. However if you keep going and going suddenly the paper towel looks slimmer and slimmer expontentially and this is because that 1 sheet of paper, just like your 1 pound loss, makes a bigger difference visually now - because previously it was coming off a bigger surface area - but now each sheet/pound may only wrap around the tube/your body once - so has 4x the visual effect as in the beginning.

So while i dont feel "slim" quite yet, i may look slim after another 5 pound loss.

Interested to hear stories also!

For me, I need this motivation because weight loss has become exponentially harder now that I’m a normal weight. I’ve been trying since March to lose the last 10 lbs and haven’t budged a pound because there is no room for error. Ugh!

I've never heard this term, but I quite like it!

Last july I was about 225, my HW. I lost ~15-20 until Dec, and then ramped up my efforts again this new year and am down to 180. I first noticed that I looked slimmer when I was getting ready to go to a memorial event thing. I wore the same dress that I wore to an event last july. I hated how I looked and felt in the dress, but I hated buying clothes for my larger figure, so I was probably wearing clothes that were waay too small. Anyways. I wore the same dress and was like WOW this is what it's supposed to look like! That was the first time I was like, Oh, the weight loss is working! I was a little emotional lol.

The second one. No one really mentions weight anymore, it's looked down upon at work to bring it up (even in a positive way, you never know what's happening with someone), so literally no one had said anything to me, even if they noticed. I saw some friends I hadn't seen since sometime in the winter recently and as soon as the girl saw me she said "OMG! You've lost so much weight!" and her husband was like "Yeah, I didn't want to say anything, but definitely!" and I felt really uncomfortable BUT it was the first time that someone has actually said something to me about it lol. I saw her again like a week or two later and she said it looks like I'd lost even more weight. I haven't bought any new clothes, so I'm thinking it's more because my clothes are kind of baggy now (wearing the same hoodies, jeans). I never really threw out any of my smaller clothes, so I've been dipping into these old tops that I havent been able to wear in a while which is fun. I bought 1 new dress and it was just a teeeeny bit too tight, but DH reminded me that it would fit perfectly in like 2 weeks. I kind of want to go try it on now and see if it fits better.

Anyways. Rambling.

Well my paper towel story went the other direction for earnings in life. It was amazingly eye-opening.

I'm experiencing it now, pretty sure.

I look so much slimmer these last few days after losing just a pound more (now that I reached healthy weight).

I had planned to lose about 4-5 pounds more but I'm not sure. I will have to see how each pound lost looks and feels.

There is no way ONE POUND makes you look any different. Even FIVE pounds, completely unnoticeable.
